2014 Porsche 911 spot car

I think that is the perfect way to experience a nice sports car without having to pull out a second mortgage on your house. So instead of the econo-box rental car, my lens mule and work vehicle for the Pikes Peak hill climb was this Porsche 911.I was a bit worried at first as I was not so sure the Porsche would clear some of the off-road areas that they make you park in, but it fared just fine. It helped to enter and exit everything at an angle.

As for space? It fit two photographers’ full gear in perfectly fine. I just love that this was a usable sports car.

In order to make it up the hill in time for sunset we had to wake up at 3am every day. It was totally worth it to get to the good spots, but it takes a toll on your body for sure.

The views from the top were spectacular as always. The lights from Colorado Springs would flicker and slowly disappear as the sky grew brighter.

Even in the middle of August there was ice near the top. We were way above the tree line already. Pretty much nothing grows or lives up there.

I was surprised as it seems there were more and more people that are as crazy as I was to wake up this early to catch the sunrise.

This was the perfect time to do long exposure shots or time lapse video. You could see individual rays of light peaking over the horizon.

There you had it, a perfect sunny side up egg just sitting right over the horizon. I don’t know if I will ever get tired of this beautiful scene.

Christian Vincent's New movie named Haute Cuisine

Hortense Laborie (Catherine Frot), a renowned chef from Perigord, is astonished when the President of the Republic (Jean d'Ormesson) appoints her his personal cook, responsible for creating all his meals at the Elysée Palace.

Despite jealous resentment from the other kitchen staff, Hortense quickly establishes herself, thanks to her indomitable spirit. The authenticity of her cooking soon seduces the President, but the corridors of power are littered with traps

As the chef-owner of a modestly successful provincial restaurant, the last thing Hortense Laborie expected was to be called on by the president of France himself to act as his personal chef. Soon after taking the job at the Élysée Palace in Paris, she discovers that navigating the protocols imposed by the kitchen’s snobbish all-male old guard is even more challenging than catering to the president’s culinary whims. As the battle for influence over the head of state wages on among the kitchen staff, Hortense sets out to prove that she can take the heat.

Based on the real-life story of the personal chef to former French president François Mitterrand, Haute Cuisine uses the politically charged kitchen and corridors of the Élysée Palace as an exquisite backdrop to a nonstop parade of mouthwatering dishes in the tradition of classic French cuisine. French favorite Catherine Frot gives a spirited performance alongside newcomer Jean d’Ormesson—an accomplished writer making his screen debut at age eighty-seven—in this deliciously French comedy.
