The sporty XF was freshened in 2012 and then reduced in both price and
stature last year when a powertrain shuffle made the standard engine a
2.0-liter turbo four. The base price fell by some $6000 as well, but less power wins few friends among sports sedan buyers
The 2.0T continues as the base engine this year, a supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 is offered, and a blown V-8 is standard in the XF Supercharged. All XF models come with an eight-speed automatic; all-wheel drive is optional on the V-6.
