Pretty Little Liars Season 4,Pretty Little Liars will start up again officially in January (after a Halloween ep in October). What will the winter season look like for our favorite Rosewood couples? Here’s a roundup of what you can expect from PLL’s lovahs in Season 4B...
Emily and Paige finished Season 4A on tentative ground. Though they recognized that they might not be together when Paige goes to Stanford for college next year, they also decided that they want to be together while they still can. Sadly, there hasn’t been much Paily spoilage coming out of the PLL camp in regards to the rest of Season 4, but we do know that the relationship will be getting some time in Season 4, Episode 19: “Shadow Play.” That's promising, because it's well into the second half of the season, and hopefully means that the two are still together. Perhaps the ep will add some epic-ness to the list of our favorite Season 4 Paily moments so far.
Spoby
We have more to work with on the Spencer/Toby front. We know there will be a scene that takes place in Toby’s loft in the winter premiere, and the Spoby bear will finally be getting its much-deserved on-screen debut! Spoby will be together in Season 4, Episode 15: “Love ShAck, Baby,” if director Norman Buckley’s behind-the-scenes photo is anything to go by.
There is a potential Spoby threat, however, in Andrew Campbell’s (Brandon W. Jones) reappearance on the scene. You may remember Andrew as Spence’s academic decathlon buddy. The two shared some sexy nerd chemistry during Toby’s “A” absence in Season 3. Could Spencer and Andrew be reconnecting again? Perhaps, but that doesn’t mean Spoby is over! Not only will they have some scene-age in Episode 19, but — according to ABC Family executive Jenn Gerstenblatt — it will be their best episode yet.
Ezria
With the “Ezra is ‘A’” reveal in the summer finale, Aria and Ezra jumped to the top of our “Most Interesting PLL Couples” list in one impressive leap. What can we expect from these two in Season 4B? Well, Aria is still technically dating Jake, and the martial arts hottie will be around for the beginning of the winter season (including a shirtless scene in Episode 16). But things are also heating up between Ezra and Aria (and she isn’t set to discover his secret for a while). There may or may not be a love scene between these two in the winter premiere, and another cozy Ezria scene in the following ep. And, according to writer Maya Goldsmith, Episode 17 is going to give us an Ezria brainfreeze (bring it on!). Even though we can’t imagine how these two will possibly work out given the Ezra as “A” reveal, we think they will. After all, Ezria is “inevitable,” even if the Ezria endgame must be tested.
Haleb
We’re almost afraid to watch Season 4B because of Caleb’s imminent departure to Ravenswood. Though he technically heads to Ravenswood in the Halloween ep, it looks like Caleb’s final (for now) departure from Rosewood will happen in the winter premiere, and as one might expect, it’s apparently “super emotional.” Does this spell the end for Caleb and Hanna? We hope not — and there’s reason to believe there is still a chance for a Haleb happy ending. Hanna and Emily will be visiting Ravenswood later this season, and showrunner Marlene King said she believes in hope for the couple (whatever that means). In the meantime, we’ll have to make do with our favorite Haleb moments from episodes past. Sigh.
