The Hype: "Dark Knight Sequel?"; "Stark Situations."
The Setup: Iron Man is sad. He's moping like Batman playing archery in the attic. He can't sleep. He has nightmares. He's disappointed people. Now he's lying flat in a pile of snow. "Honestly, there's a hundred people who want to kill me," he says. Right now, one of those people seems to be Ben Kingsley with an ill-advised ponytail. There's a scene of people being ejected from a plane, also like in Batman, and Iron Man's seaside mansion comes crashing down.
What You Should Expect to See: Iron Man in dark lighting. More angsty Iron Man than scotch-drinking Iron Man. Ben Kingsley terrifying everyone. Pepper Potts somehow perpetually optimistic. Scary Iron Man clones. Explosions. Iron Man about to die and then — wait!
What You Should Not: Iron Man emo dance. Iron Man and Thor reunion. Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson reunion. Ben Kingsley getting all self-effacing.
